OT Bodywork Sessions with Jessica Loose, OTR

Aches, stiffness, or tension getting in the way of your daily life — your work, caregiving, gardening, the activities you love?

Jessica Loose is a licensed occupational therapist offering OT bodywork sessions at Life's Work. Sessions blend hands-on bodywork, breathwork, and nervous system regulation with practical, personalized strategies to help you move and feel better doing what matters most to you.

Every client starts with a one-on-one OT evaluation: we talk through what's going on, set clear goals tied to your daily activities, and build a plan of care. Hands-on techniques are used to support those goals — this is skilled therapy, not relaxation-only care.

  • No physician referral needed

Frequently asked questions

Absolutely. Most people start exactly where you are. Classes are built for real bodies and every pose has options, so you always have a version that works for you.
Soma means the body as you feel it from the inside. Somatic movement teaches you to notice habits — like holding your breath when you bend over, or hiking one shoulder up — and retrain them. It's practical stuff that carries into daily life.
Just yourself, a mat if you have one, and water. The studios have props to borrow, and for online classes a couple of household items (a chair, a towel) do the trick.
In person at Life's Work Studio in Kalkaska (Mondays at 6 PM) and monthly at Pine Grove in Cadillac, plus live online classes you can join from anywhere.
Book right here on the site — class packs, the 4-week clinic, and ebooks all check out here. The Monday Kalkaska class books through the studio's own page.
Yes — 60-minute private sessions tailored to your body, your movement patterns, and your goals. Book under Privates.
